How to submit a data entry form to the Library ...

the caplen company has created a library where data entry forms can be shared with the aim User Community.   To submit a data entry form into the Library, take the following steps:

1. Export the Data Entry Form using the aim Architect.

2. Package the three (3) components¹ of the Data Entry Form into a WinZip compatible format.

3. Send the zipped file to support@caplencompany.com, along with a description of how the Form is used.

caplen's Customer Support Team will review the submission and if accepted, add the data entry form to the Library.

¹ When a Data Entry Form is exported using the aim Architect, the following files are created and placed into the Shared Forms folder:

< form name > . fcd  -  Form Configuration Information

< form name > . ccd  -  Configuration information for data entry fields contained in the Form.

< form name > . sql  -  SQL Script used to create the data table and referential integrity objects for the Form.

NOTE:  If you have an idea for a data entry form, but are unsure how to create it ... caplen's Customer Support Team will construct the form and place it into the Library.   Send us your ideas ... and we will take care of the rest.
