Report Template Library   

 

This page provides a public library of reusable report templates created by caplen's Customer Support Group or submitted by aim Users.

 

To use report templates downloaded from this library ... take the following steps:

  1. Click the download link for the desired report template.

  2. At the prompt, select the Save option.

  3. Save the file to the Report Templates folder.  If you installed the original CD to the default settings, the location will be

C:\Program Files\caplen company\aim\Report Templates

  1. Use a WinZip compatible tool to extract the report template(s) to this folder.

  2. Launch the aim PrintShop and take the following steps:

    1. Launch the Report Explorer  ( File | Report Explorer menu item, or F2 keyboard key ).

    2. Select  File | New Report.  Notice that the Report Designer is displayed.

    3. In the Report Designer, select the File | Load From File... menu option.  Navigate to the Report Templates folder and select the downloaded report template.  Notice that the report template is displayed in the designer's workspace.

    4. Select  File | Save As... menu item and save the report template to the Report Explorer library.

NOTE:  When you download a report template, simply use it  "as is", or open the template in aim PrintShop to change the layout.

 
NOTE:  The content of the Report Template Library is dynamic ... with additional templates added as they are developed by our Customer Support Group, or submitted by aim Users.

Acquisition Report - Lists animal inventory acquisition records.
Disposition

Disposition Report - Lists animal inventory disposition records.
General Care

General Care Report - Lists animal inventory general care and maintenance records.  This package contains two report styles:

  • General Care Report based on a JOIN between the animal inventory and general care data tables.

  • General Care Report based on a Master-Detail layout with grouping and conditional page breaks for each animal inventory item.
Birthing

Birthing Activity Report - Lists birthing event records, with detail progeny records.
Competition

Competition Report - Lists records for competitions, shows and events.
Correspondence

Correspondence Package - This package includes the following report templates:

  • Mail Labels - Formatted for Avery 5160 mail labels ( 3 x 10 per sheet ).

  • Form Letter - Provides a form letter template, formatted to mail merge with the aim address book.
Contact  (address book)

Contact List - Lists aim address book items.
Financial Ledger Financial Ledger - This package includes the following report templates:

  • Ledger Report - Lists financial records.

  • Ledger Report for Inventory Items - Lists financial records linked to animal inventory items.

  • Ledger Report for Contact Items - Lists financial records linked to contact (address book) items.

  • Income and Expense Report - Lists financial records and summarizes income and expense totals.

  • Income and Expense Report for Inventory Items - Lists financial records linked to animal inventory items and summarizes income and expense totals.

  • Income and Expense Report for Contact Items - Lists financial records linked to contact (address book) items and summarizes income and expense totals.

Ledger Detail and Drill Down Templates - This package includes the following report templates:

  • Master-Detail-Detail.  This report template displays financial ledger transactions and transaction detail records.

  • Master-Detail-Detail with Drill Down.  This report template displays financial ledger transactions and drills down to transaction details when a transaction record is clicked.

NOTE: The Ledger Detail and Drill Down templates are demonstrated in the Quick Reference Guide tutorial topics.
