Data Xchange ...

Data Xchange technology provides a robust and flexible mechanism to export and import data.  This allows users to share data with other aim users or with other commercial software applications.

Export

The aim application provides on-demand export of data (throughout the application) in multiple formats ... HTML, XML, XLS and TXT.  This allows users to easily export data from anywhere in the application. 

With the Data Xchange export wizard, the export process creates copies of user-defined aim data tables which can be shared directly with other aim users ... or allows the user to export the complete content of each data table using the industry standard ( xls ) spreadsheet format.

This import wizard provides the functionality to import data from other aim users in the aim proprietary data table format (exported from another aim system).

This import wizard provides an easy mechanism to import data into aim from industry standard spreadsheet formats.  With this functionality, existing users can easily share data, or new users can import existing or archived spreadsheet data into their aim records management system.
