Youth Organization Record Books ...

This topic applies to :  Youth Organizations, such as 4H, FFA and USPC.

Record Books provide a summary of activities and animal care records for a wide range of animal projects.  The format for Record Books vary from County-to-County and State-to-State.  The flexibility of aim to record Club Member activities  ( participation, attendance, dues, competitions, etc. ) and a wide range of animal care and maintenance records, make it an easy choice for animal projects.

aim provides each Club Member with flexible options to meet governing Record Book submission requirements.  Examples are:

• Online Record Books.  Some Counties and / or States are migrating toward online record books.  In this format, Users can easily reference the data records in aim to fill-in sections of the online record book.  Additionally, aim records can easily be

  1. Exported to spreadsheet format  ( XLS - Microsoft Excel )  and uploaded or pasted into the online record book.

  2. Exported to web format  ( HTML or XML )  and uploaded or pasted into the online record book.

   

• Word Processing Based Record Books.  Some Club Members use a word processing program, such as Microsoft Word, to construct a Record Book.  For animal projects, many of the pages in the Record Book contain lists of records  ( participation, attendance, dues, competitions, and a wide range of animal care and maintenance records, etc. ).  With aim, record lists can easily be:

  1. Exported in spreadsheet format  ( XLS - Microsoft Excel )  and inserted into the word processing document.

  2. Exported web format  ( HTML or XML )  and inserted into the word processing document.

  3. Printed directly from aim and inserted into the hardcopy document.

   

• aim Print Shop Record Books.  The aim Print Shop Quick Reference Guide provides numerous topics and tutorials demonstrating how to construct user-defined report lists and pages to meet governing layout formats.  The resultant documentation can be printed to hardcopy or PDF for submission and / or distribution.  Report Templates can be shared, which makes it easy for any County or State to construct the aim Print Shop template and make it downloadable to Members from Club, County and / or State organization websites.
