Vista User Tech Tip
Windows Vista contains many new features and functionality ... not available
in previous operating system versions (i.e., Windows XP). The User
Account Control (UAC) is part of the Vista operating system and displays
prompts that may be confusing to a user. To remove the prompts, take
the following steps:

Launch the MS Vista Control Panel

In
the search box at the top right of the form, enter UAC and press the Enter
keyboard key. This will display a new page in the form that allows you
to select the turn off UAC option.

Select the turn on / off UAC task. This will display a new page
in the form with a UAC checkbox.

Uncheck the checkbox.
The
setting will take place when you restart your machine. This will stop
unwanted prompting from the Vista operating system. |
